My Career Journey at Monaghan:
I began my journey at Monaghan in 2008 as a mushroom harvester. Through dedication, continuous learning, and the support of fantastic teams around me, I have advanced to Supervisor, then Harvesting Manager, and today I am proud to hold the position of Farm Manager.
It has taken 19 years of commitment, growth, and ongoing education to reach this point. If someone had told me back in 2008 that I would eventually become a Farm Manager, I would have laughed and considered it a good joke. However, Monaghan is a place where hard work is acknowledged, opportunities are abundant, and career advancement is achievable for anyone willing to invest effort.
My experience demonstrates that with the right mindset, strong teamwork, and a company that prioritises the development of its people, you can accomplish far more than you ever envisioned.
What I Enjoy About Working at Monaghan Mushrooms
My time at Monaghan Mushrooms has allowed me to work alongside individuals from various nationalities and cultural backgrounds. I truly value the diversity that fosters a welcoming atmosphere and promotes learning from one another.
The environment here is dynamic and ever evolving, training me to think on my feet, adapt to new circumstances, and remain focused, even when faced with unexpected challenges. I find this fast pace exciting, as it keeps my work engaging and enhances my problem-solving abilities.
What I appreciate most is the professionalism of my colleagues. They are supportive, hardworking, and respectful, creating a positive and motivating workplace. Being part of such a team is something I genuinely cherish.
